Hej allihop!

Time to introduce myself as the newest member of Navigatörernas staff-team! På engelska, för min svenska är inte så bra än.

So, I am Lisanne, from the Netherlands. I encountered the Navigators for the first time when I was a student in Ede. There the Navigator-group was a little bigger (around 200 students) and I really enjoyed getting to know people through this group and all the activities! Not only the social part was good for me. Especially the small groups, the worship-evenings and having a mentor helped me grow a lot in faith. The leaders saw potential in me and challenged me in leadership as a student. In this I really got to know myself, and I started to understand more about God’s plan and discipleship. I became a mentor for younger students myself and joined in the movement of discipleship in Ede! I enjoyed it so much that when my studies were done (Social work – a crossover between Social Arbetere and Socionom) I joined the Navigators on staff. I have done that for 6 years and got to be the ministry leader for the last 3 years.

A little over a year ago I got the question to think about maybe joining the Navigators here in Sweden and after a process of thinking and praying, here I am! The plan for me is to stay for 3 years to help Mikael and Kristina in establishing and expanding the Navigator work in Göteborg. Right now I am learning Swedish through the SFI program, and up until summer I will just join and get to know the work here. I am really looking forward to the years I get to spend here, in Göteborg, in Sweden and with the Navigators!
